Mrs. McMurtry's 5th Grade ELA
Dear Parents and Students,
I am so excited about teaching 5th grade ELA this year! It is going to be a year full of hands on learning and growth.
This year will be my 12th year teaching and 8th at Rowlett. Although I am from Indiana, I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Murray State University in Kentucky. In addition to teaching students academically, I tutor and will also be teaching some enrichment classes for Rowlett. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and playing softball, cornhole, or any other outdoor games. I believe you all know my husband, Bryan or “Coach” as you all may know him. We have been married 9 years and have a son who attends Rowlett and a 3 year old daughter.
I am looking forward to working with everyone this year to make this the best year ever!
