About Mrs. Daugherty

I was born and raised in beautiful southwest Florida, and love all that it has to offer! When I’m not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My husband, Tyler, and I have three beautiful children. Our daughter Bella is entering her third year in college, Dahlia is in 9th grade, and my little dude, Jasper is in 7th grade at RMA! We have a feisty little rescue dog named Moose, a 1 year old old mini Golden-doodle named Mango, some fish, and a whole lot of crazy! Between people, pets, and competitive soccer and cheer,  there is never a dull moment at our house!

One of my favorite things to do is spend time on the water. We spend a lot of time at the beach, going boating, fishing/lobstering/scalloping, or lounging at the pool. To me, there is nothing better than being on the water! I also enjoy traveling and am not picky about the destination!

I earned my B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida in Tampa and my M.A. in Teaching from USF in Sarasota. I have ESOL, Gifted, and Middle School Social Studies endorsements. This is my 17th year of teaching. I worked in Sarasota County for four years teaching 4th grade, and this will be my 13th year as part of the Rowlett family on the 4/5 loop.
