UPDATED Storm Safety - Learning Plan

11/12 UPDATE:

Good Morning Rowlett Academy Families,

We hope your family survived the storm with little damage and everyone is healthy and well. Both campuses had only minimal damage and we will open back up as normal tomorrow, Friday, November 13th.
 
However, if you choose to keep your child home out of personal safety due to the storm, he or she may participate in our eLearning program tomorrow. Please let your teacher(s) know.

Hello Rowlett Families,

We hope you and your family are safe and well. 

Out of safety concern with Tropical Storm ETA, both REA and RMA campuses will be closed tomorrow, Thursday November 12. 

However, learning will still take place on our eLearning platform, Google Classroom. To be marked present, students will need to log on and complete the assignments. Due to possible connectivity concerns there will not be any live Zoom or Google Meet sessions. 

*** We will continue to monitor the situation TO DETERMINE PLANS FOR INSTRUCTION ON FRIDAY and WILL UPDATE YOU TOMORROW WITH THOSE PLANS.***

REA- If you need any assistance logging on to your teacher’s iRowlie Google Classroom please email [email protected]. We realize many students will not have school issued iPads so do the best you can with the device you have in your home. If your child does not have a device to access the assignments they will be able to make up the material. 

RMA-Students should mark themselves present on the daily Google Classroom Attendance post and log into Google Classroom on Thursday to access their learning materials for periods 2,4,6,and 8.  Students with connectivity issues or other barriers to learning will have extended time to submit their assignments.
