Incoming Kinder Camp Information

We’re very excited to be able to offer our Kinder Camp this year. This opportunity will allow us to assess your child’s letter and number knowledge, letter/sound identification, ability to write their name, etc. In order to follow recommendations of the CDC, Kinder Camp has changed to 1:1 assessment model with a teacher.

You will only need to bring your child in on ONE day for a 30 min session during July 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, or 14, from 9am -12pm or 1pm -3pm. Please have your child wear a mask for their Kinder Camp appointment. A parent or guardian will need to drop of the student and pick them up, as they will have some paperwork to fill out.

As always, the safety of our students is our priority and we have protocols in place to ensure that CDC guidelines are being followed. If you or your child have traveled out of the area, 2 weeks prior to your appointment, your child may NOT attend Kinder Camp. If you or your child does attend Kinder Camp, he/she may not be permitted to attend if they have a fever, cough, or other signs of being ill.

All staff and students will have temperatures taken daily upon arrival and will be required to wear face masks as they arrive and depart from campus. The use of hand sanitizer will be required when entering and leaving each area. Inside the assessment area, desks will be spaced a minimum of six feet apart and teachers will be wearing face shields. We will continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC and adjust our protocol as new information becomes available.

When you arrive, please pull up through the car loop and wait in your car. A staff member will meet you in the car loop and take your child’s temperature. Your child will follow the staff member to Flynn Hall for their assessment. When their assessment is complete, a staff member will walk them out to your car. Please park in a spot and stay in your car until your child has completed their assessment. You will have to fill out paperwork while you wait for your child or complete it at home and bring it with you on the day of their appointment.
